Ashley is the Director of the Office of Drug Surveillance and Misuse Prevention (ODSMP) at the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The ODSMP is the Department's primary office for monitoring and responding to the opioid and overdose epidemic. Ashley oversees many statewide programs including the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP), overdose surveillance, the First Responder Addiction and Connection to Treatment Program, Patient Advocacy Program, Prescriber Education Program, and overdose prevention and response activities with local health departments. Ashley holds a Master’s in Public Health Degree in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Physiology and Health Sciences from Alma College.
