Sonja Brown is senior product manager for piezo devices at TDK Electronics Inc (TEI). Brown has 30 years of experience in the electronics industry doing research and development, manufacturing, engineering, operations and marketing. As a result, Brown has a unique technical prowess and understanding of customer needs.
During her nearly 10-yr tenure at TDK Electronics, Brown has been responsible for leading the North America piezo products marketing team, helping to define products, positions and channel strategies, while working with customers and potential customers to meet their unique requirements.
Prior to TDK Electronics, Brown was a global product manager for circuit protection at AVX Corporation, where she worked for more than 20 years in many roles, starting as a R&D technician. During this time she worked on several teams that were awarded U.S. Patents.
Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Coastal Carolina University. She continued her MBA studies at Webster University before leaving for the workforce. Brown also works with the Ashley G Foundation, organizing events to raise awareness and funds for fighting childhood cancer.
