Dr. Chumin Zhao is a Staff Fellow from the Division of Imaging, Diagnostics, and Software Reliability (DIDSR) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2017. He was a Display Engineer at Apple Inc. from 2017 to 2018 and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University from 2018 to 2021. His research involves image quality assessment and modeling in medical extended reality, displays, medical imaging, and thin-film devices.
