I am Youngsang Ha who is studying 3D Light field display in Samsung Display.
3d Light field technology is a vector function that represents the direction and intensity of all light in space. This gives direction and intensity to each display pixel, and when it passes through a pre-designed optical system, it forms a field of light at a specific distance and space.
When both eyes of a person are located in this space, different images are visible and felt in 3D.
3D LFD technology is used not only in existing movies and games, but also in various fields such as non-face-to-face treatment, virtual meetings, and education in line with the trend of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The existing 3D performance evaluation method plays a very important role in identifying the level of LFD image quality being developed and using it as feedback data for LFD production elements such as lens design and optical bonding process.
