Roy is currently working as an engineer at Renault Technocentre, near Paris, which is the R&D headquarters of the Alliance. He is also pursuing his PhD from University of Lyon (ENTPE) under the company-university collaboration scheme of the French government [CIFRE]. The topic of his PhD thesis is "Colorimetric uniformity of embedded displays in vehicle cockpit."
He received his masters in color science from the consortium of European universities (University of Lyon, Universidad de Granada and University of Eastern Finland) in 2017. After that, he worked as a color scientist in HP R&D Barcelona for 4 years. He regularly publishes in scientific conferences and also protected ideas via 4 filed US patents, a defensive publication and a trade secret. He is an advocate of open-source tools for metrology.
