Dr. Mingwei Zhu joined Applied Materials in 2010 and currently holds the position of R&D Director in the CTO office. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Dr. Zhu research interests include nitride material and devices, photonics, quantum technologies, and microLED display. Dr. Zhu has over 35 publications and holds more than 40 patents.
