Performances of OLEDs is highly dependent on the device charge balance, i.e., the injection, transportation and recombination of electron-hole pairs. In this work, we provide a new strategy to improve the charge balance in OLEDs by optimizing the hole injection layer and therefore to modulate the overall hole supply in the device. The application of relatively shallower LUMO p-dopants provides more flexibility in modulating the hole injection property, which can be achieved by tuning the doping concentration. We demonstrated that device performances are significantly enhanced by employing such scheme.
