The ink-jet printing OLED technology has many key features such as simplified manufacturing process, high material-usage efficiency, no need for fine metal mask(FMM) and low production cost, it exhibits huge manufacturing and cost advantages in large-scale OLED panel industry. TCL CSOT has been investing in this new technology for many years, and now CSOT has mastered the complete manufacturing process for IJP display technology. CSOT first developed top gate TFT device with high stability, which its performance can meet the specification requirements for future high-end OLED panel mass production; for the printing OLED technology, CSOT then established a mature process technology system. By achieving a uniform printed film morphology and precise film thickness control above the TFT surface within pixels, and greatly improving several manufacturing process control abilities such as pixel process, vacuum drying during printing step, tact time, Q-time, and environment control, CSOT holds quickly progress in printing OLED device efficiency and life-time, making its material and performance ready for the next-step mass production. Benefiting from CSOT’s strong technology accumulation, since 2020 TCL CSOT has successively demonstrated industry-leading flexible 16.9-inch scroll display (Figure 1) and high brightness high color gamut 31-inch UHD display. In the future, TCL CSOT will keep increasing investment and R&D effort in IJP display technology, unit all collaborators to work together for accomplishing the mass production of IJP OLED display technology.
