Various autogenous grafting procedures have been developed, including minimally invasive approaches for small bony defect, as well as lateral bone-block grafting or 3D reconstruction for vertical bone defects. This workshop will demonstrate simple ways of autogenous bone harvesting and grafting in combination with simultaneous implant placement. It also will detail complex cases, where bone-block grafts are harvested from the mandible by using a safe and simple protocol. The biologic grafting techniques with mandibular bone block were modified to increase the number of regenerated and vital osteocytes in the grafted area for a predictable long-term osseointegration. Learn step-by-step intraoral bone harvesting, implant placement and grafting with autogenous bone in simple and complex situations. The intense hands-on training also explains different surgical kits for bone harvesting and use of osteosynthesis screws. Indications of these techniques and detailed protocols will be demonstrated in jaw models. Training for every scenario of bone defects and handling of pure autogenous materials without membranes and biomaterials will be demonstrated. There will be a refreshment break from 3 – 3:30 p.m.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
Discuss minimally invasive to 3D grafting techniques with autogenous bone.
Demonstrate handling of surgical kits for bone harvesting and bone grafting.
Apply safe and simple protocols with autogenous bone for every grafting indication.
