This workshop will provide attendees with guidance and hands-on experience in digitally planning the single-tooth implant in the aesthetic zone. Participants will use digital planning software to merge the intraoral scan with the CBCT, digitally “wax up” a tooth, virtually place the implant, and design the 3D-printed surgical guide. Physical models of the virtual patient will be used to fabricate an in-office, screw-retained implant provisional. There will be a refreshment break from 3 – 3:30 p.m.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
Demonstrate how to merge STL and DICOM data in digital implant planning software.
Determine placement of the implant in the virtual space based on the virtual “wax up” and design the surgical guide.
Assemble a screw-retained implant provisional for the replacement of a single missing tooth in the esthetic zone.
