Vanessa Starks is the Assistant Coordinator of Parents Learning Together at St. Louis Arc. Vanessa has been employed by St. Louis Arc since 2013, and has over 30 years of experience in the child welfare, early education and direct support fields. Her experiences includes working with children, teens and adults with disabilities. Vanessa completed St. Louis Arc’s Management Training program and assumed her current role in 2018. In addition to her caseload of families, her responsibilities include training staff, facilitating technology use, supervising volunteers, and coordinating documentation and systems. She is a trained facilitator of the Nurturing Parenting program and a Safe Sleep trainer. Vanessa is passionate about the work of St. Louis Arc, and enjoys collaborating with other agencies to support and empower people with disabilities to live their best lives. Vanessa holds a B.A. degree in Social Work with a minor in Criminal Justice from Iowa State University.
