Director, Youth Transition

Jason Camperlino is the Youth Transitions Director for the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in the State of Tennessee. In this role, Jason is responsible for developing, implementing, and directing the Medicaid Alternative Pathways to Independence (MAPs) program which provides services for 1250 individuals to gain independence, achieve outcomes and find hobbies/employment opportunities within the community.
Jason has 20 years of experience in this industry working for various community providers. Many have included serving as an Executive Director of a Residential, Day and Employment provider for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jason specializes in project start-up and leading diverse and highly skilled teams successfully serve the individuals receiving care.
Jason helps transitional youth and individuals who have recently graduated high school on a path to make a successful transition into the community using technology, person-centered plans, and employment opportunities at the center of the member’s plan.
