Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD, Inc.)
Susan Brownknight is the CEO of LADD. Susan, originates from Washington, DC, and has her Masters from Xavier University’s Williams College of Business, Executive MBA program. She for over 25 years she has worked on economic, social and environmental justice issues at both local and national non-profits including LADD, the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless and the Sierra Club. Susan also spent 3 years on Capitol Hill for the Sierra Club and Blue Green Alliance, as their National Field Director, working nationally and internationally on fair trade policies, green job development and international sustainable development. As CEO of LADD, Susan has launched the OTR International Film Festival dedicated to celebrating our shared humanity and now the Cincinnati region's largest film festival, successfully completed two $3.5M capital campaigns and created the Smart Living start-up, a technology based service model for adults with developmental disabilities. She has spoken at international conferences for the United Steel Workers (USW) and been recognized for her community work, including the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce’s CLIMB Award for LADD’s Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives, “Susan Knight Day” in the City of Cincinnati for her community impact, Cincinnati’s Metropolitan Housing Authority’s Community Partner of the Year, and the Greater Cincinnati Down Syndrome Association’s Community Advocate Award. She resides in Cincinnati with her husband, Jason and two children.
