The Arc
Carrie Hobbs Guiden is the SEO of Chapters and Community with The Arc and has nearly thirty years of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Carrie’s previous work experience includes two years with Amerigroup as Employment and Community First CHOICES Director, 11 years as Executive Director with The Arc Tennessee, and one year as Executive Director with The Arc Arizona, 16 years with a local chapter of The Arc and other service providers. Her areas of work include public policy and systems change, program development and implementation, employment, person-centered practices, secondary transition, and decision-making supports. Carrie’s educational background includes an M.S. in Special Education from IUPUI, a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Indiana University, and a B.A. in Sociology from Indiana University.
