The Arc of Aurora
Erica Dennison has been with The Arc of Aurora since 2017. She has dedicated her life's work to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), much attributed to her lived experience of having a brother with an IDD. Her background in the IDD field is extensive and spans 19 years. She has worked in residential and day habilitation settings, case management, has assisted children with IDD to transition out of foster care, removed adults with IDD from institutionalized settings placing them into community settings, and also explored policy work with the Colorado Medicaid office at The Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.
Erica's professional and lived experience has propelled The Arc of Aurora's training and education program, THINK+change, as a leader in changing knowledge, attitude, and behavior to ultimately improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities, their families, and the professionals in their lives.
