Session Description: This session will describe innovative programs created by the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to help people with IDD experience greater independence and quality of life at home, at work, and in their communities. Highlights will include enabling technology solutions, investments in provider capacity and value-based models, leveraging American Rescue Plan Act funding to provide services for transition-aged students with IDD, and implementation of TN START, a community-based crisis prevention and intervention program.

Understand how Enabling Technology and remote support solutions can help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities experience greater independence at home, at work, and in their communities
Understand how investments in provider capacity and value-based reimbursement models are critical to the successful implementation of Enabling Technology and remote support solutions.
Understand how TN START supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex behavioral or mental health needs, as well as strengthens the system as a whole
