Arc Thrift Stores operates 31 stores throughout Colorado. Store operations provide funding to the 15 ARC Chapters, which in turn provide advocacy for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Arc Thrift is one of the state’s largest employers of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, one of the state’s largest social enterprises, and has had a $2.7 billion impact on the state. During the COVID-19 pandemic, arc Thrift Stores was designated an Essential Business, gathering and delivering over 60 tons of food and much-needed clothing, hygiene products, and PPE to thousands of families and individuals. Every year millions of pounds of goods are diverted from Colorado’s landfills and go on to be repurposed thanks to arc Thrift Stores. Everything arc Thrift Stores does – to the numerous programs the organization has put in place to enrich and empower the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities – is in advocacy support for Colorado
