Ben Ozenberger is a PhD candidate in the Kevin Jones lab at the Huntsman Cancer Institute & University of Utah. He is contributing an understanding of sarcomagenic fusion proteins using mouse models and genomics. His focus is on how EWSR1::ATF1 drives Clear Cell Sarcoma by functioning as a pioneering transcription factor. Before his graduate studies, he held positions with Javed Khan studying rhabdomyosarcoma at the NCI and with Tim Ley studying acute myeloid leukemia at WashU in St Louis. After his graduate studies, Ben is interested in continuing a career in pediatric cancer research using his skills spanning biochemistry & bioinformatics.
