Maria Diab, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. A board-certified medical oncologist, Dr. Diab specializes in the treatment of pancreatic cancer and other gastrointestinal malignancies.
Dr. Diab received her Medical Degree from Damascus University in Damascus, Syria. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her fellowship in hematology/oncology at Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Diab is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship. She holds professional memberships with American Society of Clinical Oncology, along other professional societies.
Dr. Diab's research focuses on early and late drug development as well as translational research in gastrointestinal malignancies, with a focus on pancreatic cancer. She is involved in a number of clinical trials evaluating novel drugs and drug combinations in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies.
