Dr. Amanda Kumar is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center, where she subspecializes in regional anesthesiology and acute pain management. She has a clinical research interest in the perioperative use of peripheral nerve blocks and fascial plane blocks to optimize patient recovery and outcomes. She is the assistant program director of Duke's Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine fellowship, and serves as the Graduate Medical Education Simulation Liaison for postgraduate simulation work at Duke's Human Simulation and Patient Safety Center.
