Dr. Andrew Sochacki is an investigator at START-Midwest and a medical oncologist based in Grand Rapids Michigan. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University. He subsequently completed a medical residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He then completed a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville , TN and served as chief fellow. During that time, he concurrently worked as a research fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Savona.
His clinical research interests include early phase drug development and sarcoma. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He is also a practicing subspecialist at Cancer and Hematology Centers of Western Michigan. There he serves as the lead physician for the sarcoma subspecialty team. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Michigan State University.
