Dr. Siontis completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as her Master of Science in Biology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She subsequently obtained her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She graduated from Hematology Oncology Fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. During her fellowship, Dr. Siontis developed a clinical interest in sarcoma oncology. Upon completion of fellowship, Dr. Siontis returned to Rochester, MN and joined the Sarcoma Oncology Group within the Division of Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic. Her research interest in sarcoma has culminated in retrospective studies, prospective clinical trials and translational work in biomarker discovery. Dr. Siontis' work has resulted in peer-reviewed publications as well as presentations at national and international meetings including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Connective Tissue Oncology Society, and the International Society of Limb Salvage.
