Eugenie Younger was born in London, UK, on 23rd May 1986. She graduated from the University of Dundee in 2009 with honours in her medical degree (MBChB Hons). She started her medical career as a junior doctor in Cheltenham and Bath, before working for a year in the emergency department in Perth, Australia. During this time she passed postgraduate exams to obtain Membership of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). She completed core medical training in Cardiff, Wales (2012-2014) and was appointed a specialist registrar in medical oncology training at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Between 2016-2020 she undertook a PhD evaluating health-related quality of life and age-specific aspects in patients with sarcoma at Radboud University Medical Center, Nijemegen, the Netherlands. She plans to complete her medical oncology training at Royal Marsden Hospital in October 2024.
