Ye-Jean Park is a University of Toronto medical student and an avid researcher interested in harnessing her education to empower the communities she has the privilege of serving. Professionally, she is interested in the nexus between clinical care and research in the development of safer, novel therapies to target the global burden of cancer. Currently, she is working in Dr. Michael Monument's laboratory testing the cross-species therapeutic efficacy of STimulator of Type I Interferon Genes (STING) agonists in targeting sarcomas. She also seeks to become involved in opportunities that apply public health strategies and upstream interventions to address the social determinants of health.
