Anne-Rose Schut (MSc) started her medical training in 2011 at the Erasmus MC, University Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After obtaining her medical degree she started working as a resident (ANIOS) at the surgical department of the Reinier de Graaf Gasthuis hospital in Delft. In November 2019 she got the opportunity to start her PhD on the subject of soft tissue sarcomas, with desmoid tumors as specific interest, at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. Her research regarding desmoid tumors involves both pre-clinical experimental work and clinical retro- and prospective studies to gain more insight in the pathogenesis of desmoid tumors and to evaluate clinical outcome and quality of life of patients with desmoid tumors.
