Angela Märten earned her PhD at Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany, in 2000, before she had worked for several years as oncology nurse. On completion of her PhD, Dr Märten worked at University hospital of Bonn, Germany as a habilitation scholar, where she was responsible for phase I trials and translational research. 2002 she became assistant professor for experimental haematology and oncology. 2003 she moved to University hospital of Heidelberg, Germany where she headed the immunotherapeutical group and the oncology trial department.2006 she was appointed as associate professor. 2008 she completed her master of sciences in clinical research. Prof. Märten was PI of several clinical trials and published ~ 100 papers with a focus on pancreatic carcinoma. 2009 she joined Boehringer Ingelheim where she build up medical affairs oncology in Germany. 2012 she joined the global team as Senior Medical Advisor. Prof Märten is currently Global Senior Clinical Project lead, Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH, Therapeutic Area of Oncology, based in Ingelheim, Germany.
