Clinical research fellow
Sinai Healthcare System, Canada
I completed Oncology training in Israel. Currently I am a Medical Oncology fellow in Sarcoma Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital since September 2020. My major research focus is on translational research and new anticancer drug development and sarcoma tumors. I am part of the clinical and translational team in Sarcoma Program at the Princess Margaret and Mount Sinai. I have a significant experience in clinical management of patients with sarcoma and skin cancer. For the last two years, I am taking part of Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) project, led by Gladdy Lab and Toronto Sarcoma group. My current work focuses on development of promising drug combinations, based on genomic analysis, performed in terms of first part of LMS project.
Implication of clinical experience into planning and analysis of preclinical data, allows focusing on drug combinations with high potential for clinical trial development. Our final goal is to improve outcomes of patients with advanced LMS, by development of more efficient treatment, based on deep genomic analysis and better understanding of tumour biology. In terms of clinical experience currently, I am a co-investigator in more than 15 active clinical trials at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, encompassing early phase trials as well as sarcoma studies, involving molecularly targeted and immunotherapeutic strategies as well as part of the molecular profiling endeavors at my institutions. To date, I have published 15 peer-reviewed manuscripts, authored one book chapter and published 20 abstracts. I am the recipient of the ASCO Conquer Cancer Merit Award.
