Dr. Cardona is a surgical oncologist who specializes in the management of retroperitoneal sarcomas and soft tissue sarcomas. Dr. Cardona is the Lead of the Winship Cancer Institute's Sarcoma Working Group and leads national research efforts in the study of sarcoma as the Chair of the NCI's ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group Sarcoma Committee. Internationally, he is an active member of the multi-institutional TransAtlantic Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group and Desmoid Working Group.
