Dimitri Tzanis MD, PhD is a Surgical Oncologist, Consultant Surgeon in the Department of Surgical Oncology of the Curie Institute Hospital in Paris, France. He has completed a PhD thesis, a residency in digestive and visceral surgery, a post-residency fellowship in sarcoma surgery, digestive surgical oncology and hepatobiliary surgery and occupied a post of Ass. Professor (Chef de Clinique) in the University of Paris (Université Paris-Sud).
He specializes in Sarcoma Surgery and Digestive Surgical Oncology. He is actively involved in clinical and translational research in the areas of Sarcoma and Digestive Oncology.
He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the French Association of Surgery (AFC), of the French Sarcoma Group (GSF-GETO), the French Society of Surgical Oncology (SFCO), of the European School of Soft Tissue Sarcoma of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and a member of the Transatlantic Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group (TARPSWG).
