Marco Fiore, MD (Milan, 1975) is in charge as Attending Surgeon at Sarcoma Service of Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (INT), Milan – Italy.
He has been full time committed for Soft Tissue Sarcoma, GIST and Rare Tumors surgery since 2002, with special interest in Retroperitoneal Sarcoma surgery.
He serves as member of Education and Training Committee of ESSO. He is also Chair of Sarcoma Oncoteam of SICO (Italian Society of Surgical Oncology), and Director of ESSO European School of Soft Tissue Sarcoma Surgery. He yearly coordinates the CME accreditated educational event ReSurge, Retroperitoneal Surgery Course at INT.
He is active and founding member of the Transatlantic Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group, and is in charge as coordinator of the group website (www.tarpswg.org).
He is also member of Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), American College of Surgeon (ACS), Italian Sarcoma Group (ISG). He participates to the EORTC Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma Group activities. He is presently Treasurer of UEMS Division of Surgical Oncology.
Dr. Fiore collaborates as member of Editorial Advisory Board of European Journal of Surgical Oncology (EJSO) and serves within Editorial Board of Annals of Surgical Oncology (2015-2018; 2020-2023).
He authored or co-authored more than 100 manuscripts in peer-reviewed international journals.
