Jason Park, MD, PhD, FCAP, DABCC (@JasonPathology) is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and the Eugene McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is also the Clinical Director of the Advanced Diagnostics Laboratory at Children’s Health, Children's Medical Center Dallas, Texas. Dr. Park's clinical and research interests are in laboratory medicine and pediatric gastrointestinal pathology. He is the author/co-author of over 250 journal articles, book chapters and published abstracts. He currently serves as Co-Editor of Reviews for Clinical Chemistry. His research has resulted in 13 issued U.S. patents on cancer diagnostics, cancer therapeutics and nanotechnology. Dr. Park has been cited in the national media including the New York Times, Dallas Morning News, and Reuters.
Dr. Park’s medical training began in the accelerated BS/MD program at the Pennsylvania State University and Jefferson Medical College. During medical school he was a Gibbon Scholar in Thomas Jefferson University's combined MD/PhD program. After medical school he was a pathology resident and chief resident in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His pathology residency was followed by a fellowship in gastrointestinal and liver pathology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry (molecular diagnostics) as well as the American Board of Pathology (clinical informatics, clinical pathology and anatomic pathology).
