I graduated on March 2016 with a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology and Pharmacology from the University of Bologna (Italy).
Currently, I am working at the National Institute of Cancer in Italy. I have 5 years’ experience in molecular pharmacology and oncology.
In these years, I have been involved in the development of new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of different types of cancer, including Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), peritoneal and pleural mesothelioma and different types of rare sarcomas.
I am currently collaborating on studies conducted on two rare tumors: Dedifferentiated Liposarcoma (DDLPS) and Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (EHE). These studies aim to improve understanding of drug resistance mechanisms and to identify / validate new therapeutic targets, using patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models generated in our laboratories.
