Robert D. Beveridge obtained his Medical Training Degree in 1999 in the University of Valencia and
was awarded a Prize for an Outstanding Academic Performance, both by the University of Valencia and by
the Valencian Regional Authorities. He completed his Medical Oncology Training in the Hospital Universitari I
Politècnic La Fe in Valencia (2000-2004). He was awarded the Prize of an Outstanding Medical
Training Performance in 2004. He continued his postgraduate Studies in the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2005-2016) and obtained his
PhD in 2016 with a Cum Laude qualification with his study of Pathological Prognostic Factors in Rectal Cancer
Patients treated with Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy. He also completed two further-education External
rotations in the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2004 and in the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2009.
At the moment, he is a Senior Medical Oncology Consultant in the Hospital Universitari I Politècnic La Fe in
Valencia, specialized in the management of patients with Sarcoma, Melanoma and Non-Colorectal Digestive
Cancer. His main areas of interests include Ewing Sarcoma and Osteosarcoma, Adolescent and Young Adult
Oncology and Pancreatic Cancer. He is also the Coordinator of the Training Programme for
the Medical Oncology Specialist Registrars. He has been the Principal Investigator in more than 20 trials in
Sarcoma, Melanoma and Upper GI cancer patients and has authored more than 30 articles in international
peer-reviewed articles and more than 50 communications in National and International Congresses. He is a
member of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), the Spanish Group for the Study of Sarcomas
(GEIS), the Spanish Group for the Study of Rare Tumours (GETHI), the Spanish Group of Melanoma (GEM),
the Spanish Group of Study of Digestive Cancers (GEMCAD), the European research and Innovation Network
for Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Group (ENTYAC), ESMO and ASCO.
