Medical oncologist at the Universitary Hospital Miguel Servet from Zaragoza . He was born in 1969 in Salamanca, Spain. He studied Medicine between 1987 and 1993 in the School of Medicine of Salamanca, obtaining the official title of Specialist in Medical Oncology in Universitary Hospital Miguel Servet in Zaragoza, in 1995 . He obtained PhD degree on Medical Oncology in 2002 . From 1995 until now , he have worked continuosly in the same Hospital (Miguel Servet) as medical oncologist focused on Sarcomas and Head and Neck Tumors. He is involved also in Thyroid cancer, Nutrition and cancer, and other rare tumors. He is now coordinating a multidisciplinary sarcoma team, that plays a role as Reference Center of Aragon for sarcomas and rare tumors .
Member of The Spanish Group for Research on Sarcomas (GEIS) from 1995 until now, belonging in the last few years to its National Board Director Comitee. Member of The Spanish Group for Research on Head and Neck Cancer (TTCC) from 1995 until now, belonging also from more than 15 years to its National Board Director Comitee . Member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), of European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), of Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS), of Sociedad Española de Oncología Médica (SEOM).
Additionally, he’s running and designing several trials on his fields of expertise ( Sarcoma and Head and Neck cancer), some of them as coordinator. He is the author/co-author of more than 50 manuscripts in his areas of expertise , including journals as Journal Clinical Oncology, Lancet Oncology, Cancer , Annals of Oncology, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics among others.
