Patty Cogswell has a B.S. and M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Rochester. Her career in cancer research spans 25 years, during which time she has authored more than 30 research publications. Patty joined the rare cancer field in 2012, when she became the Manager of Research for the Chordoma Foundation. In that role, she developed the Foundation’s biobank, cell line, and animal model repositories. During her tenure, the Foundation successfully created a cell line repository that now exceeds 20 lines, and a PDX repository with 12 models. In 2018 Patty started a consulting company to share her knowledge and help other rare disease foundations build similar programs. Patty serves as Principal Investigator and Biobank Manager for The EHE Foundation, with the goal of creating essential resources for researchers and advancing treatments for EHE.
