Dr. Tan is currently a PGY 2 IM resident at Jackson/UMH program. He received his MD in 2021 from Larner College of Medicine at University of Vermont and PhD in computer engineering in 2007 from Univeristy of Central Florida. Before enrolling into medical school, he had worked as an system designer and engineer for over 10 years in wireless communication and signal processing area. During his Ph.D years, he had worked on a 3-year research project of “Autonomous FPGA Fault Tolerance” sponsored by NASA and a 1-year research project of “FPGA Area Defragmentation” sponsored by Space Photonics and Air Force.
His currently research interests mainly focus on combining artificial intelligence and data mining process into cancer research and precision medicine.
