Originally from Phoenix, AZ, Amanda is a first-year medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a BS in Biochemistry. Previously, she has conducted research in ATP transporter proteins, the effects of nicotine on GABA receptors, melanoma databases, and early onset colorectal cancer. Her current areas of interest include social determinants of health, pediatrics, dermatology, and oncology research.
