Liz is an early career medical oncologist, undertaking a PhD in sarcoma proteomics with the Children’s Medical Research Institute and Chris O Brien Lifehouse comprehensive cancer centre in Sydney. She is a clinical lecturer with the University of Sydney and a member of the ESMO Young Oncologists Committee.
Her research interests incorporate translational research and clinical research of rare sarcomas including leading a National Australian study of CIC rearranged sarcoma and contributing to international series. She is a member of the Australia New Zealand Sarcoma Association's (ANZSA) Sarcoma Guidelines update committee, it’s national database working group, and has been awarded the ANZSA 2022 Sarcoma Research Grant for an implementation study of an ambulatory chemotherapy programme for AYA Osteosarcoma patients (MYTH study).
