Jukka Kanerva (MD, PhD, Adjunct Professor) works as consultant in pediatric hematology and oncology at the HUS Helsinki University Hospital, New Children’s Hospital I Helsinki, Finland. He has almost 30 years of experience as a clinician and clinician researcher in the filed of pediatric oncology. His research areas are pediatric leukemia, bone sarcomas, and adverse events of cancer treatment. He is active member of the Nordic Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (NOPHO), Scandinavian Sarcoma Group (SSG), EURO EWING Consortium (EEC) and European Osteosarcoma Consortium (FOSTER). His current research projects in Helsinki include iCAN-PEDI and PREPAIR, which aim at detailed molecular characterization drug screening of pediatric solid tumors.
