Dr. Carolyn Freeman is Professor of Oncology and Pediatrics at McGill University. A radiation oncologist with more than 40 years of experience, she is known particularly for her expertise in the management of children with cancer and patients of all ages with sarcoma. She served as Chair of Radiation Oncology at McGill University and Head of Radiation Oncology at the McGill University Health Centre for more than 3 decades and has played numerous leadership roles locally and within Quebec as well as within many national and international professional organizations, including as a founding member of the Canadian Association of Radiation Oncologists in 1988 and of the International Pediatric Radiation Oncology Society in 2004. She has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and 27 book chapters.
