Professor of Pathology
Department of Pathology, VGH, Canada
I am a clinician-scientist pathologist, from Vancouver, a graduate of the McGill MD/PhD program. I did residency training at the University of British Columbia and additional training at ICRF London, Stanford, the Cleveland Clinic and Royal Orthopaedic. My lab does translational sarcoma research using tools like expression profiling, epigenomics, tissue microarrays and preclinical models, focussing on synovial sarcoma and other non-pleomorphic soft tissue tumors afflicting adolescents and young adults. My full academic biography is on my web site http://www.gpecdata.med.ubc.ca/torsten/. A member of CTOS since 2004, I am on this year's organizing committee. I'm happy to answer your questions about visiting Vancouver, and take your suggestions about what worked and what didn't work well at this year's meeting!
