General Surgery Resident
Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School
I am currently a General Surgery resident at Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to and during completion of my medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School, I was a research assistant to Dr. Dipak Panigrahy, an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and mentee of Dr. Judah Folkman. While in Dr. Panigrahy’s laboratory, in collaboration with Professor Charles N. Serhan, Director of the Center for Experimental Therapeutics and Reperfusion Injury (CETRI) at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, I studied the role of endogenous anti-inflammatory lipid autocoids and their role in inflammation resolution in tumor recurrence models.
Now as a surgical trainee and research fellow at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, my translational research focus is on the role of inflammation resolution in tumor recurrence and treatment outcomes of surgical oncology patients.
