Assistant Professor of Pathology
Brigham and Women's Hospital
I am an Assistant Professor in Pathology at Harvard Medical School and Associate Pathologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I earned my medical degree (MD) from the Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany, and the University of Bern, Switzerland. I trained in Anatomic Pathology at the University Hospital Göttingen and at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. During my postdoctoral studies in Dr. Jonathan Fletcher’s laboratory at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, I characterized mechanisms of GIST genomic progression. In 2018, I obtained board certification in Anatomic Pathology and became faculty in the Department of Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I now lead a research program centered on the biology, genetic, and molecular mechanisms of sarcomas with the goal to develop novel therapeutics.
