Dr. Sandoval-Arocho’s work is centered on incorporating the phenomenological perspective of vulnerable communities as it relates to issues of migration, grief and loss, and climate change adaptation and resilience. Dr. Sandoval-Arocho’s teaching aims to make social work education and practice relevant and equitable for students at the BSW level by incorporating technology, service learning, and study abroad opportunities.
