Kristina L. Hulama is a current Ph.D student at the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work. Kristina received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2015) and a Master of Social Work (2022) from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, Thompson School of Social work & Public Health.
Kristina has worked in social services positions since 2014 in Honolulu, Hawai'i. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Hawai'i and Colorado. Areas of expertise include:

Kristina enjoys supporting, empowering, and advocating for Native Hawaiian families and communities in Hawai'i. She is currently pursuing research in two areas: Historical Trauma, Intergenerational Trauma, Collective Trauma from Colonization and its impacts on the Child Welfare System in Hawai'i, and Discrimination in Healthcare towards Native Hawaiian women.
