Alison Updyke Neff, MSW, DSW is an Assistant Professor of Graduate Social Work at West Chester University, where she has served in roles such as Lead Instructor for the Specialized Practice sequence and Chair of the Field Committee since 2018. Her work focuses on organizational processes that empower marginalized communities receiving care in social service agencies. Alison has taught courses on social work practice with individuals, families, and communities, group therapy, human development, research, and the Affordable Care Act and integrated care. She is the Clinical Director of The Center for Carceral Communities, where she coordinates psychosocial care for people released from incarceration. Her research focuses on clinical and structural interventions in the area of incarceration.
