Sarah Kye Price Professor and Associate Dean for Faculty Development in the School of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. She received her PhD from Washington University in St. Louis and her MSW from Syracuse University. Her research and publications focus on community based participatory research, including health and mental health promotion within low-income communities disproportionately affected by fetal and infant mortality. Her scholarship and teaching areas also include anti-oppressive practice, integration of faith and justice, and qualitative and mixed-methods inquiry. Her prior social work practice experiences include Project Director of the Women’s Wellness Initiative of Missouri Bootheel Healthy Start, Grief Therapist, and Coordinator of SIDS Family Support Services first in Western New York and subsequently in the St. Louis, Missouri metro region. Sarah is also an ordained Episcopal Priest serving in urban parish ministry.
