Research Assistant/Clinical Social Worker

Rachel is a graduate of the University of Michigan. She currently works as an outpatient therapist and contractual school social worker. She is also currently a Research Assistant for the Trauma Informed Programs and Practices in Schools team at the University of Michigan. She held roles as a Forensic Interviewer, Domestic Violence Advocate, as well as a Teaching Assistant at Huron Valley Correctional Facility.
She has presented on trauma-informed practices in schools, child sexual abuse and human trafficking. She was also a conference presenter at the Michigan Medicine Child Abuse & Neglect: Prevention, Assessment, and Treatment (CAN) annual conference, speaking on resilience and moving forward after experiencing multiple incidences of trauma. She has also been nominated as a Champion of Child Hope for CACMI.
