Dr. Kalomo is an Assistant Professor at Wichita State University, School of Social Work. She received her Ph.D and MSW from the University of Minnesota, St Paul. Her research interests include kinship care, mental health, population aging, gerontology, international social work and vulnerable populations living with HIV (e.g., older adults, adolescents, women and offers). Dr.Kalomo teaches courses in human behavior and the social environment, diversity and ethics, families of diverse cultures and introduction to social work and social welfare. Dr.Kalomo has published 8 journal articles and has presented over 10 papers at international and national conferences. In addition, she worked as a social worker for an agency that served survivors of abuse and domestic violence for several years.
