Latoya S. Hogg is a fifth-year doctoral student at Howard University's School of Social Work. A native of Dallas, Texas, Ms. Hogg received her undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Tyler and her Master of Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University. Ms. Hogg currently works as an Analyst for the United States Federal government. Before working for the Federal government, Ms. Hogg worked in various non-profit capacities in the child welfare field, ranging from foster care to international and domestic adoptions. Ms. Hogg is an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Texas at Arlington and Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Ms. Hogg is committed to increasing research rigor in social work education and exploring the experiences of Black doctoral students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
